Criteria: For activating iMessage, you need one-time SMS messaging service (If you have one, skip this) to be activated on your phone number. Depending on your carrier, you might be charged for this (for iMessage activation only) SMS.
We all love iMessage, especially it’s cool features like Bubble effects and Screen effects. So it’s pretty sad and inconvenient when the Messages app crashes on iPhone repeatedly. But don’t worry, you can fix it with a few different solutions. Try all of these on iOS 14 or other versions and see which one works for you. Let’s have a look. With iOS 14, Apple shipped a significant refactoring of iMessage processing, and made all four parts of the attack harder. This is mainly due to three central changes: 1. IOS 14 Looks brand new. Feels like home. IOS 14 brings a fresh look to the things you do most often, making them easier than ever. New features help you get what you need in the moment. And the apps you use all the time become even more intelligent, more personal, and more private.

Contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider) The agency who issued the SIM to you to know whether you have SMS plan enabled at least for One SMS

4 Step Process --> Turn off and restart iMessage and FaceTime (The order / sequence is very important)
- Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
- Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
- Restart your device.
- Turn iMessage and FaceTime back on. (Watch the GIF below)
